Prepositions are words that tell you where something is located such as persons, objects and places or things are located or positioned compared to something else. It can also tell you when something happened. Here are some simple prepositions and sentences.
Behind: The cat is behind the box.
Beside: The boy is sitting beside the ball.
Between: The bee is between the bottles.
Under: The man is under the tree.
In: The ball is in the box.
In front of: The worm is in front of the apple.
On: The girl is on the table.
Around: The rabbit is running around the tree.
Across: The cat is walking across the bridge.
Above: The leaf is above the hamster.
